What makes it different

Founders Today is a founder community and launch platform run by Peter Oberlik: a newsletter and community where founders launch their products, now counting 10,000+ founders and 854,000+ product impressions delivered. Launching is free; founders can pay to BOOST a launch and have it distributed across the network.

Oberlik shared the milestone in an August 2026 Indie Hackers post: the last time he had posted, Founders Today had 100 community members, $0 MRR and 36 products with about 14,000 impressions. The update: 10,000+ founders, 854,000+ product impressions, 50+ products launched — and $2,135 MRR.

The playbook behind it is distribution, not community features. Oberlik stopped treating Founders Today as just another founder hangout and started acquiring and partnering with tech publishers whose sites show a Founders Today product discovery widget — 5 partners with roughly 80,000 combined monthly pageviews. Publishers earn on an eCPM model from qualified impressions, even without clicks. SEO became the other big channel: free SEO toolkits for founders that rank for founder and SaaS searches, plus X driving the bulk of remaining signups.
