What makes it different

GainFrame is an iPhone app for tracking gym progress through photos — estimate body fat from a photo, get a physique score, or explore body visualizers, all without creating an account. It is private by design: no account, photos stay on the device, and the website lets visitors try the tools free before deciding whether they want the app for long-term tracking.

The founder is Michael Rode, building solo. On September 15, 2026 he published the numbers straight from RevenueCat: $2,354.65 MRR, $14,816.20 total revenue since March, $3,690 in the latest 28 days, and 416 active subscriptions. He is careful about what the numbers mean — MRR spreads annual-subscription value across months, so he reports both — and the app's numbers are public on RevenueCat's verified page.

The growth lever is free browser tools on gainframe.app. Four tool pages (Physique Rater, Body Fat from Photo, Body Visualizer, Body Fat Visualizer) accounted for 9,031 of the site's 9,923 tool-driven clicks in the latest 28-day period — nearly half of all search traffic. App Store click events from tool pages rose 158% in one period. It is a content play measured in public: monthly SEO and revenue updates, with the audit process itself written up as a blog post.
