What makes it different

Palomino is a Mac-native workspace for keeping up with AI coding agents. The pitch is in the tagline: run agents side by side with your terminals, editor, and browser, all in one window. Claude Code, Codex, and Pi can each live in their own tab or pane while you keep a terminal, a browser, and your files open right next to them — one window instead of a pile of windows to juggle.

The engineering angle is the differentiator: Palomino is built with Rust and GPUI, Zed's GPU-accelerated UI framework, and the site's hero brags about being "Rendered on the GPU" and "Written in Rust." The goal is a workspace that stays lightweight and fast even when you're running many agents and panes at once — the tool you live in all day can't be the thing slowing you down.

It's for developers who now work with several coding agents in parallel: agents that run locally or in the cloud, kicking off builds, fixing login redirects, and writing code while you review. The homepage demo shows the familiar loop — an agent finds a bug, edits auth.ts, runs the test suite, reports done — while other panes handle search, pricing pages, and docs. Palomino is early stage, made by the indie app studio AppStudio26 LLC, and it launched on Product Hunt on 10 October 2026. The pricing page lists a single Free tier: unlimited workspaces, unlimited agents and panes — as many as your Mac can run. There's no paid plan announced yet; the product is in its free, feedback-gathering phase.
