What DoOne is about

What makes it different

DoOne is a task list with a focus timer built in, distilled into the tagline on its own site: one task, one timer. You plan the day across three lists β€” Today, Next and Someday β€” then pick the single task you are on and start its focus session. Everything else waits in its list while the timer runs; when the session ends, DoOne suggests a break, and when you finish the task, it suggests what to do next. Each task keeps a log of its focus sessions, and finished items roll to a Done list the next morning so the lists stay plans, not archives.

It is made first for iPhone Duo, Apple's new foldable iPhone, with every screen laid out around the hinge: lists on the left, the focus task and its timer on the right, a desk-timer mode when the phone is half-open on a table, and a break countdown on the outer display when it is closed. The same lists and timer adapt to iPhone and iPad screens. The timer also lives outside the app: Live Activities on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and on Apple Watch, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, a Focus control for Control Center and the Action button, and Siri and Shortcuts support that can start, pause, resume, stop or finish a session, skip a break, or add a task.

The Product Hunt hook is its integrations: close GitHub, GitLab, Forgejo, Gitea and Linear issues or Todoist tasks directly from your task lists, with webhooks for tools like n8n and IFTTT, plus Sentry and Reminders in the mix. For people who manage real work in repos and issue trackers, tasks stop being a parallel universe and start closing the loop with the systems where the work already lives. Extras include focus sounds β€” lo-fi, brown, pink or white noise β€” and app blocking while you focus, plus a Brain Dump feature that turns spoken thoughts into tasks on devices with Apple Intelligence.

Privacy is the design pitch: no account, no ads, no tracking. Tasks stay on the device, or in the user's own iCloud if sync is turned on. The app is free, and one optional purchase β€” DoOne Pro, a $4.99 one-time payment with no subscription β€” unlocks the extras: iCloud sync, Reminders and the integrations, focus sounds, app blocking and Brain Dump, plus future Pro features as they arrive.

DoOne is built by Neo Ighodaro, listed as the sole maker on the Product Hunt launch under the name Neo (headline: Maker Β· Engineer; profile bio: Engineer. Founder. Maker.) and credited as the developer of record on the App Store. The product launched on Product Hunt on 19 October 2026, positioned for power users: the kind of person whose to-do list is half pull requests, issues and deploys.
