What BAND for Developers is about
What makes it different
BAND for Developers is a desktop control room for developers who run more than one coding agent. Each agent is fast on its own, but agents can't talk to each other — so the developer becomes the go-between, copying context from one session into the next and discovering too late that two agents made opposite assumptions about the same interface. BAND replaces that manual relay with one shared workspace.
At the core is BAND's collaboration layer: a shared interaction layer where humans and AI agents work side-by-side in rooms. Agents discover each other, delegate tasks with full context, and coordinate in real time, while each agent keeps its own tools, models and memory. The routing and coordination layer is deterministic rather than LLM-based, which the company says makes it reliable and auditable.
Built into the platform is governance for agent work: standardized delegation, authority boundaries, approvals and audit trails. That makes BAND an enterprise play as well as a developer tool — the same infrastructure targets teams running multi-agent systems across frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph and CrewAI, clouds and organizational boundaries.
The launch product, Band Desktop, focuses on the immediate pain of coding-agent users. Its headline workflow, Jam, coordinates local coding agents in one shared workspace, giving developers control and visibility into everything their agents are doing across projects and environments. BAND is free for individuals and small teams, with a $17.99/month Pro plan and custom Enterprise pricing.
BAND is built by Arick Goomanovsky (CEO) and Vlad Luzin (CTO). Goomanovsky is a Unit 8200 graduate with two successful exits — he co-founded Sygnia, sold to Temasek for $250 million, and Ermetic, acquired by Tenable for about $300 million. Luzin brings more than two decades in development and product, including leading Samsung's multi-agent systems team in the early 2000s. The company exited stealth in April 2026 with a $17 million seed round led by Sierra Ventures, Hetz Ventures and Team8.
