What Tend is about
What makes it different
Tend is a personal AI agent you text, not another app you have to open. It lives in iMessage or SMS: you sign in with your phone number, connect the accounts you want it to work with — Gmail, your calendar, Shopify, QuickBooks or HubSpot — and text it a task the way you would a colleague.
Once connected, Tend works inside your own accounts. It replies to emails in your voice, books tables on OpenTable or Resy, fills your cart and hands you the checkout link, makes phone calls, finds leads and drafts outreach emails, and builds your website. It can also text you first when something you asked it to watch happens — an email reply arriving, a price dropping, or a flight changing.
Two principles guide everything Tend does. First, you stay in control: nothing is sent, purchased, booked or changed without your approval. You review the proposed action first and give the final go-ahead — Tend's own phrasing is that the last tap is always yours. Second, its memory is transparent: what Tend learns about you goes into your “Brain,” a memory you can read and correct.
The site organizes Tend around use cases for businesses and entrepreneurs: small business owners can manage clients, books, CRM and posts; finance workflows cover books, invoices and markets; sales and CRM workflows find leads, make calls and track deals; and travel and shopping get live prices, flight tracking while a flight is in the air, and real-time table or room availability checks. Personal use cases include reminders, plans, errands and job search.
Tend is invite-only during early access. You sign in at heytend.me with your phone number to request access.
Tend was built by founder hritvik Gupta (previously founder of Archimyst) and launched on Product Hunt on 2026-10-20 with co-makers Olia Nemirovski and Oleksii Sekundant. The product disclosed no revenue numbers at launch.
